Redevelopment of casemats
Casemates are the most used part of fortresses for culture, exhibitions, presentations, events, information points, gastronomy, meeting, service and others.
Redevelopments of casemates for concrete utilisation's are the greatest demand
in the redevelopment strategy of fortresses. In this rooms are located attractiveness and offers for tourists, important for quality Baltic Fort Route.
Malzhaus-Bastei in Peitz with its two casemates is an example for project to revitalisation.Construction of walls and of the roof must be redeveloped sorely in order to protect visitors.
Project goals are analysis of saving procedures and selection of redevelopment-technologies, procedures for documentation of restoration methods of historical construction parts. Partners in fortress-network will receive the results for using solutions of similar problems, such as fortresses in Kaunas, Pultusk, Kostrzyn, Kaliningrad etc. Cooperation with scientists of the university will optimise project-results.
